Its time again...
We got the call this afternoon, the Fremont County Court has set the date for our domestic part of our adoption. And its TOMORROW MORNING AT 11:00. The court did not mail out the notice to our attorney, instead choosing to put it in his box at the courthouse. He went today to file some papers and picked up a huge stack of paperwork, in it was our notice. SURPRISE, time to get our schedule fixed and get ourselves over there. Brayden has to miss school and he is NOT pleased with that, but this is a family occassion so he really shouldn't miss it. It will be nice to have this last piece of the puzzle finished and all the papers put away in the safe.
We are coming along health wise. Brayden still has quite a cough that I have decided has nothing to do with the strep and is probably a viral thing that most of his class still has too. I am much much better and don't have a cough at all except in the morning. I do hope Brayden can pull out of the cough thing pretty soon. Roger is still doing good and Braxton is amazing. His immunity is wonderful for now. He has a bit of a runny nose and some cough, but nothing compared to what the rest of us have had. I am so grateful for that.
Seems so odd to put this notice on here and have it be tomorrow so for those that wanted a heads up...well we barely got one. :-)
Good wednesday to everyone.

Still Sick
After 2.5 weeks of this one would think we could shake it, but alas its not to be. At least not without meds. I thought on Thurs that I was doing so good, feeling better and actually had energy etc. Woke up fri morn with the absolute worst sore throat I have ever had. By last night I could hardly swallow, at least without wincing a lot. I went for a strep test yest afternoon while the boys were napping and it was neg. Last night we had a really rough night, Brayden ran a fever again and spent most of the night in bed with us. That keeps us from sleeping very good anyway. Yest I made an appt with our weekend clinic for 9:50 this morning so Brayden and I both attended my Dr apptmt. We each had a new strep test done and they were both positive. He came home with Cephlexin for his antibiotic and I came home with one I have never had before. I know its strong tho cuz the dr also gave me a prescrip for yeast infection in the same apptmt because he expects this to give me one. :-) How often does a dr think ahead like that?? Not much in my experience so I was impressed. He also gave me prednezone because my throat is swelled so bad. I don't expect to take that for very long, the side effects dont look fun at all so will just do what it takes to get swallowing to an easier situation. We all napped for 2.5 hrs today, I felt much better after that too. Brayden is still running a low grade fever so might have just caught his at the beginning stages or something. Anyway, perhaps after 7 days of meds we can count ourselves among the healthy again. I am really looking forward to that phenomenon.
We are using lysol like crazy and purell too trying to keep Braxton and Daddy from joining the ranks of the very sick. So far its working. Braxton has been relegated to the shop tho for safe keeping!! Unless he is sleeping that is. We are all occupying one bedroom for now, Brayden is on our floor. That way I keep an eye on his temp without traversing the stairs too much.
All for now, just wanted a quick update. But a perspective on how sick Brayden is...he chose to stay in the car while I went into Walmart to get our meds. That NEVER happens.

Breakfast by Brayden
Brayden has decided that he is big enough to get breakfast ready and on the table before I get down to the kitchen. Its a big help really, I don't mind except that he put the milk on my cereal and on his cereal before I was even down here and ready. So it sat and soggied up for about 15 - 20 min before we got everyone to the table to eat. Lesson learned by all involved I do believe!! But he loves it and far be it from me to discourage help!!

Our littlest helper
First time on the Trampoline
odd conversations
Today Brayden went out to the shop to play, he came back in around 11 and told me that he had fallen hard at the buzzer (basketball) and hurt his knee on the concrete. He told me the bone was out of place and he sure hoped God would come into his room again tonight and fix it for him. :-)
He sure has an active imagination.
While he was in the house then this morning he dressed his teddy bear in his jammies and was rocking him to sleep and put him in Braxton's crib to sleep. Then he went downstairs and took Mickey and put him in timeout for hitting his little brother. :-) Of course unknown to me that timeout had happened to him in the shop this morning. The funny part was that he left Mickey in timeout for like 30 min, I told him that was an awful long time to be in timeout. He went and got him out and talked to him about hitting. He is a little mimic on so many things, guess its good to see that he is getting the concepts!
Braxton has gotten "bye bye" down now, he even blows kisses. I take him out to the shop so he can play with Daddy and he calmly waves byebye and blows a kiss and off he goes. Brayden used to always cry and cry when I took him out there to play. I used to have to sneak back out to keep from having the fits. What a difference between two boys.
Its finally warming up here so spring is on the way. We can't wait to get outside and spend lots of time out there. Brayden is already remembering the dirt pile and has been out there a little. It won't be long before he is out there with all his equipment moving it all around. Will be interesting to see how Braxton likes being outside too. For now if the wind is blowing at all he sticks his little tongue out, I wonder if it helps him breath or something. :-)
Growing in springtime, flowers, gardens and boys all grow good this time of year!!
