Bronc Bustin Brayden ropin

Kindergarten Rodeo

Weekend in Billings

We all took Granny to Billings to finish her root canal the weekend after mother's day. We found this hotel that had an awesome pool area for kids, however the beds for the parents another story altogether. Anyway, we enjoyed the pool.

Brayden pulled his own two front teeth

I wasn't ready, still wasn't ready, but guess who was...yup our big boy just couldn't wait to have a missing tooth. Both the bottom front teeth had been loose for some time and he was simply ready to have them gone. So over Mother's Day weekend at Granny and Papa's he decided it was time and before I could even get the camera ready he had it out. The second one came out a few days later back at home. The tooth fairy came through on time for the first tooth and gave him a 1/2 dollar coin, the second time Brayden was up before the birds and she just couldn't come by. She made it buy the next night though so he was happy with another 1/2 dollar. Sure hope I am more ready for the next teeth to come out. His bottom ones are already coming in pretty fast actually so corn on the cob will likely be just fine.

Easter 2011 Back home

The first pics here are the view outside our hotel room, the further away view of downtown is the view from the top balcony on the Nature and Science Museum looking at the other side of downtown back toward our hotel side. The boys were up early this morning about 6:30 or so, we left the hotel at 8:30 and headed toward home. I had thought we might do some shopping on the way home, however, being Easter Sunday and all...the mall in Casper was completely closed and we didn't check out Cheyenne. So we were home by 4 p.m. with a very disappointed mama!! Ahhh well, and so it goes. We dyed eggs instead and got in our egg hunts before bed. I had thought we would do them on Monday, but didn't need to. Monday we got caught up here at home, did laundry etc. Brayden went back to school on Tues. He was coughing and such all along the vacation, I thought it was just a cold and we made sure he got sleep by getting to bed every night by 7:30 or 8. He was just done in Tues night after school so wed I kept him home, thurs back to school, fri he did ok, then Sat morning he woke me up at 5:30 complaining of an ear ache. I took him to the dr at 10:30 and came home with 4 different meds. He has a double ear infection again, upper respiratory infection. We got antibiotics, albuterol puffer, prednezone, and numbing ear drops. We are using the antibiotics and numbing ear drops of course. I found the antibiotic ear drops from a previous problem too so using those too. We hesitate to use the puffer as it will increase heart rate and he doesn't seem to be struggling to breathe. I haven't used the steroid either, again, I don't think he needs it. This morning he seemed so much better. We sent him to school and will see how he does, he may need to stay home again tomorrow. Don't want to wear him out and not allow him to heal. He slept 3.5 hrs Sat and then again 1.5 yest for naps. I have asked the teacher to allow a nap this afternoon if he needed it. Roger has had a sore throat now too, Braxton is coughing some, and I have had a bit of sore throat as well. Hope the rest of us don't get caught up in it as bad as Brayden has.

Museum of Nature and Science

If you have never been at this museum, it is really something to see. It took us all day to see it, we intended to take a nap break back at the hotel since it wasn't that far way, however, decided to eat there and skip the nap. Well mostly, Braxton and I found a quiet corner and he picked up an hour nap so that helped him finish the day. Brayden didn't get a nap, he was wearing really thin by the time we finished. We left here at 4:45 and headed for Joe's Crab Shack. We got right in and ordered ate our dinner with minimal fits considering the level of exhaustion and then back to the hotel. All in all a good Saturday before Easter and yes this place was crawling with people. The pics of the boys in glasses are the 3D glasses the boys wore for the two 3D movies Under the Sea and Born to Be Wild. They enjoyed both of these and both were pretty educational actually.

Casa Bonita

Our first dinner out in Denver was at Casa Bonita. The boys really enjoyed it, we were there for two hours at least. They were getting tired tho so it was time to call it a day. When we left we went by the fountain and remembering our pic there on the way to the family reunion in 2009 before Braxton was home, we had to take pics. Of course we did get in trouble with security, they had just fixed the fountain I guess. We saw pics from a friend that went there a couple nights later and they had the fountain turned on.
