Casa Bonita

Our first dinner out in Denver was at Casa Bonita. The boys really enjoyed it, we were there for two hours at least. They were getting tired tho so it was time to call it a day. When we left we went by the fountain and remembering our pic there on the way to the family reunion in 2009 before Braxton was home, we had to take pics. Of course we did get in trouble with security, they had just fixed the fountain I guess. We saw pics from a friend that went there a couple nights later and they had the fountain turned on.

Spring Break trip

On the way to Denver, we went through Cheyenne of course and that is the location of Wyoming Children's Society, our adoption agency for Braxton. We stopped in for a surprise visit and to meet Kristi our agency coordinator on this end of the process. It was a good time to stop and let the kiddos out to play a little and to use their bathroom of course. Very glad we took the time to make this stop. Also then Brayden's lego creation that he finished up just before we got into Denver.

April 2011

We went to Lander to look at mattresses in April. Mama and Daddy needed a new bed becuz our backs are not liking the one we had. While there we ate lunch and then walked over to the caboose that we had taken pics of Brayden on a couple of years ago. Couldn't let the opportunity pass us by. Brayden was in school of course so he missed this outing. The other pic is Braxton's face after spagetti. Every kiddo has a pic like this in Mama's file had to add his to mine.

Spring Break

We left home today for spring break. Found our way to Denver, surprised Brayden with the trip, he didn't know we were planning anything. They are way tired tonight. We have a nice room with a kitchen sort of like a little apt. We plan to eat in some so we have money for gas. Can't have both ya know!! We paid $3.34/gal for fuel in Casper and saw 3.59 here in Denver. Certainly not cheap, but beats $4/gal. Tomorrow is zoo day, supposed to be windy but 60 degrees. Saturday is to be a bit cooler so maybe best to be inside that day. Will post pics later. Went to Casa Bonita tonight for dinner. Both boys loved it, it was hard to eat sometimes cuz of the entertainment, but it was fun. We spent just over 2 hrs there and saw a lot of stuff. Best get some sleep now, the boys will wake us up in the morning so need some sleep as they just might be early risers. :-)

Some fun with Hugo

We enjoyed Bobby's pup, Hugo, when he came home in March. He is definitely full of energy and he loves the boys. Brayden really loved playing with him and it seems it was reciprocated.

Time flies!!

Time certainly flies when life is busy. I have a hard time keeping track of what day it is let alone what week or month. It seems like it should be Feb or March especially since it is raining/snowing here today. We are just glad it remembers how to do that right here at our house cuz it has been a long dry spell. We will take it in whatever form it wants to come at this point and simply be grateful for it!! So sorry it has been so long since I have posted pics. I will post several so you can see the cuteness I look at every single day. They are growing so much. Brayden had growing pains in his knees again last week, its been a long time since we have had that incidence. Recently we have been hearing a lot of "YOu are the best mama and daddy in the whole world". Really heart warming and makes us feel really loved and appreciated. Braxton is really making changes in talking now. We finally figured out what we were doing wrong. We were making talking work instead of making it worth his while. After beginning our new tactics he is talking a lot more and even stringing a couple words together at a time. Grateful for all the help we get from speech therapists, couldn't do it without them!! Miss Jenny has really done a lot and has figured out how to work with what we have. She said that the other little boy she is trying this tactic with is simply going to wait her out, so we are glad Braxton is responding instead of being stubborn.
