Nothing to report

Just an update, except there isn't any news. I sent a rather stern email to our agency and our dossier specialist forwarded it on to the coordinator in Pskov. She replied telling us our options. We can change the age of child we are seeking, we can register another dossier in a third region, and we can be patient. :-) We aren't really willing just yet to change the age we are seeking, so we simply put another dossier together to send to the third region. That region seems to have some movement where St Pete and Pskov don't seem to have much movement. There is an orphanage in St Pete that is closing and one of those children is alloted to our agency so it goes to the couple ahead of us. That means that we will be #1 in line in St Pete and Pskov both and #4 in Krasnoyarsk. We had avoided putting papers in this region because it is another flight out of Moscow. Trying to save money ya know. Anyway, the Russian programs are getting far more difficult to complete and are requiring a lot more time than they used to. Our agency also reminded me that in 2007 there were over 4000 children brought to the US from Russia, and last year 2008 just over 1800 children were brought over. The Russian authorities are making this decline happen because there have been children brought over that have lost their lives. Because Russia is beginning to question their childrens welfare over here, they are slowing the whole process down. I know that several are wondering, so I thought I would get this info blogged so everyone could understand what is going on. At this point we are learning that patience is a virtue and we are trying to grow some!!! Keeping in mind that we are far to busy to travel right now anyway, we must be willing for whatever God's plan is and this one might take the rest of the year or more. We will try to keep you updated as things unfold or don't as the case may be.

Hi, I guess I've heard all this in person but it is sometimes nice to "read" something and see the names in print. Good you have Brayden to keep life interesting in the meantime! Love Aunt Bon
