Homework for Kindergarten???

The third week of Kindergarten has come to an end. We had homework on tues night. They have 90 min of math every day in Kindergarten, hard to imagine how to keep them focused and interested in that length of time. Anyway, the homework was walking thru the house and listing all the items with numbers on them and then drawing pics of a couple of them. We managed to do the list that night and one drawing but the other drawing had to wait till morning. It was just a lot to ask for this little boy to come home from a long day at school and then have to do some more school. He was so frustrated and I couldn't' really blame him! But it did make the next morning hard too with the push for the bus and having to draw too. We had to RUN to the bus two days this week. Ahh I remember the rush to the bus when I was a kid, it doesn't change with age. :-) Mama has been working this week too so Braxton has been staying with Daddy. I am training on school pics this week so this is the big one. I go back to Big Piney on Monday for work on tuesday then home tuesday night. I only stay one night over there instead of three. Will make it nice. The new secretary is really coming along and working out nicely. She is really enjoying the job so that is very nice and encouraging. I came home from work yesterday and Braxton was sitting at the table eating lunch and when he heard me at the door he said "mama" just as plain as day. That was so very nice. Usually he isn't that clear with that word. He has a new evaluation by CDS tomorrow so will see what they think. We might end up with some early help with him, have to see what they decide. I am thinking that perhaps his speech is delayed more than Brayden's was. He doesn't really try to copy sounds, that is what concerns me a bit. He is growing like crazy tho so he is healthy. It is definitely fall here, it froze the other night. I did have the garden covered, it has frozen lightly twice now. My pumpkin and gourd are both finished and the potatoes are too. The corn leaves are nipped, we haven't had that much corn, and may not get much more. I do have several tomatoes coming, will get some salsa done I am sure. I am not ready to give up my cucumber plants tho or the zucchini plants. I keep covering it hoping for a couple more weeks.
