Finally some good news...

Well after the last post we finished packing the camper and left for convention. We had a wonderful time there, visited with lots of friends and heard lots of great things. On thurs night my cell phone had a voicemail, don't know why, but I was having trouble with the vibrate setting on it. So missed the call from the agency. They had offered us another child on tues, but we couldn't accept that one either due to possible family ties not being quite finished up yet. We already stand the risk of family showing up at court and opposing the adoption, don't want the paperwork to not be completed and add to that risk. And he was a bit older than we really had paperwork done for, so we denied. Then on thurs in the voicemail was the news that they had another referral for us but this one had to be done by the book so we wouldn't lose it too. It required a trip to town on Friday morning to sign and notorize, and fax a document back to the agency in order to get the photo and med file released. Since it was friday here, it was officially friday night headed for Saturday there, so we didn't actually get our info then till Monday. We got the pic and med file, had our pediatrician consult on Monday evening, accepted our referral yesterday and signed the final document to begin getting our travel arrangements made. This is a huge step in the right direction. We can't give out details regarding our little boy till we have made that first trip. Just know he looks good to us and we will be making our travel arrangments and hope to be heading over within the next 2-3 weeks. I will begin putting more info on here as time gets closer.

Wow, sounds exciting. Heard about your story from Bonnie at Nileta's funeral. Glad things are finally moving along for you. Hope all turns out alright.
